AEXGroup distributes pharmaceuticals across the Eastern Shore of Maryland every business day for AmerisourceBergen, an industry leader.

"Our customers are retail drugstores, retail chains and hospitals," reports Larry Lonergan, Vice President and General Manager of AmerisourceBergen's Thorofare Division. "They may give us an order as late as 9:00PM and require delivery by 10:30 the next morning."

Each evening, Thorofare must fill, pack and invoice orders received that day-and rely on AEXGroup for their immediate distribution.

Monday through Friday, AEXGroup line hauls these orders from AmerisourceBergen to AEXGroup cross dock facilities for sorting and staging. Once crews have broken the orders down for specific delivery routes, couriers begin the delivery process on a very time-specific schedule.

"We've been working with AEXGroup for several years. When we began, they replaced a trucking company. I had talked with an AEXGroup sales representative and learned they already had experience with regular routes in place that match our needs," says Lonergan.
